New Delhi, India: ZyXEL Communications launches a complete media server product portfolio – the NSA300 Series for users to create a multi-function, high-performance entertainment center at home.

With the NSA300 Series, home users can freely store and retrieve massive multimedia contents, such as photos and videos taken with digital devices as well as other high-definition audio and video files anytime, anywhere.

The newly launched product offers high-performance high definition multimedia streaming and sufficient storage capacity to meet different needs. With the core processor power of up to 1.6 billion cycle per second and a host of features, the product ensures good performance providing high-definition multimedia streaming for individual playback or multiple simultaneous streaming to several individual displays. The high definition media quality remains intact when many streaming sessions are active at the same time.

In addition, the product has “Mobile Cloud", a feature designed specifically for users on the move. With the mobile app, tasks such as configuration, playback and download can be performed remotely with a few swipes on the screens of mobile devices anywhere at home. The product also works with the Dropbox service to backup files, or send torrent files from mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs anywhere on the road to the mobile cloud.

It boasts an all-in-one backup solution to ensure that valuable files are flawlessly stored with full protection. The zPilot, an auto-classification software developed by ZyXEL, helps users to manage files easily; once the zPilot is installed on personal computing devices, incoming files are identified and stored to the designated folders according to their formats.

The product also has green features. For instance, the “Wake-on-LAN” function allows users to turn on the product cloud and access files remotely anytime, anywhere when the device was powered off; the “hibernation” support allows the hard disk to spin down automatically when no data transmission is active after a period of time. The “power scheduling” function can turn the NSA300 on or off in accordance with usage patterns and needs to ensure power consumption is effectively regulated.
